I was told that I called grapes “japes” for quite some time. I, of course, maintain that I was, as usual, simply misunderstood.

LOL! Our son was classic for this.
For the longest time her pronounced cat “tat”.
We would helpfully say “c-c-c-cat”
He would say, “c-c-c-tat!”
