Jan, the way I’ve always read about it, Mother’s Day founder Anna Jarvis wanted it to be “Mother’s Day” and not “Mothers’ Day” because it’s a day when one honors one’s own mother, not all the mothers of the world. But if you know otherwise, please share your source. Always happy to learn something new.
