Yeah, there is no real definition of “ado”. It’s like “stuff”.

Introductions work best when the credentials are given first, and the name, last, as the person introduced rises for applause as they stroll to the podium, IMHO.

Like this:

“Our Secretary’s report will be given by the only one of us to travel all the way to the San Francisco office to get a pad of sticky notes when we were out, a real team player, Martha!”

I’m not going to lie, but I think this is insanely clever. My dad is masterful at describing things in ways that are insulting but bring pause to the insulted party. For example, his favorite terminology to convey the same message as the Governator’s message is: “go engage in self-copulation.” Love it.

Perhaps it wasn’t that McCartney started a sentence with ‘But’, it was that he started two sentences with ‘But’. Perhaps his English master was looking for a little variation.
