Ray vs Jones

A very special Martin Luther King, Jr., Day edition of MRP.

Thanks to Nikita, who called this “the worst typo ever.”

In related news, MRP’s story vault has two pretty bad typo stories in it, both related to people who were victims of spell-check. One was a college dorm-mate’s paper where spell-check changed a mention of “the Rodney King riots” to “the Rodent King riots” (my guess: a Nutcracker detractor thought his guy was robbed).

Of course, the other was the “my spell-check changed ‘public’ to ‘pubic’ all over my paper!” story and I think everyone knows someone that happened to.

MRP’s worst typo ever? I’m thinking, I’m thinking . . . nope, can’t think of one. What’s yours?

  1. Hahaha – I JUST came across this. My apartment manager puts out this newsletter (how they have the time to do that and not fix my washer/dryer I’ll never know) every month. Last month they included a recipe for “Ambrosia Pecan Pie” – instructions begin:

“In a large mixing bowel, beat eggs, corn syrup…”

    Food of the gods, indeed!

    p.s. totally remember “Rodent King”!
