MilliMRP

Filed under: Word wars — mighty red pen @ 3:32 pm

So MRP encountered this little gem the other day: the milliHelen.

As Helen of Troy was the face that launched a thousand ships, the milliHelen is amount of beauty it would take to launch just one ship.

A lot of research couldn’t turn up who invented this charming expression, but there’s this.

MRP is the pen that would edit a thousand papers, so a milliMRP would be the amount of editing it would take to review your paper.

What would be the milliYou?

  1. I thought this post was going to be about Milli Vanilli. I’m a little disappointed it’s not.

  2. You would be. I suggest you go home and play your Bon Jovi record, put on some legwarmers, and crimp your hair — You’ll feel much better.

  4. A milliMole is the amount of hairspray required to build one 80s-style hair band?
