Baby power!

MRP saw this on craigslist this other day:

White Baby’s Bassinet – $30

It didn’t turn out to be what I expected it to be, which teaches us a lesson about a well-placed apostrophe — or in this case, what would have been a well-omitted apostrophe (better to have said white baby bassinet). It was not a bassinet for white babies. It was, in fact, a “very pretty white bassinet with storage in the bottom base for blankets, sheets, diapers, etc.”

On the other hand, maybe it would have been a great bassinet for this baby.

  2. This may be my favorite post of yours to date.

Who knew that a simple apostrophe could mean so much hate?
