Kiss off

This little tidbit from Margarita, who writes, “Some confusing language in a BBC article today . . .”:


This sentence is all mixed up. What they want to say is that women rate kissing as more important than men do, but instead it sounds as though women think that the act of kissing is more important than the actual men they’re kissing.

Margarita says, “They may be right about this.”
