Mister MRP [reading the letter]: “Certainly, there may be a wide enough discrepancy between some students’ performance on the time-pressured SAT writing sample and their Joyce-like personal essay written at leisure. [stops reading the letter, looks at me] But why pass up the opportunity to use the adjective Joycean?”
