So I’ve been browsing at Awk!: The Lighter Side of Literacy for a back-to-school gift for Mister MRP, who resumes his teaching duties today after a long summer of eating bon bons and sleeping in the hammock tending la casa de MRP.

Hmm, which t-shirt to choose? One that makes a statement:

or one to wear on the weekends:

or maybe one that would really mess with the kids’ heads:

So many t-shirts, so little time.

  1. OMG, those are all great.

But I think I love the “diagramming sentences” one best. Personally.

In fact, I want one that says “I am not that kind of copy editor.”

  2. I’m partial to the Grammar Ninja shirts, myself, but then, I designed the silly thing, so I’m not exactly unbiased. (Also, when I’m wearing mine, I feel entitled to run around waving my photo-blue pencil and making what I consider to be “authentic ninja noises.”) And I can’t BELIEVE I never thought of making a diagramming copy editor design! TootsNYC, can we use that if I send you one of the resulting shirts?!
