Revoking the privilege

There was a lot of excitement over this tweet from Demi Moore, but I think those who are focused on whether or not she looks old in the pictures she posted are sort of missing the point:

And no, Captain Moondog, I reject your suggestion that this is all about Twitter being all about the creative spelling—after all, that’s about reducing the number of characters, not adding to them. Maybe someone should have her Twitter privileges suspended.

  1. I have to admit that ‘privilege’ is one of the words I find hardest to spell. I want to write ‘privelige’ so much! The only way I can spell it correctly is by remembering that ‘privilege’ follows the same pattern as ‘sacrilege’ – for some reason ‘sacrelige’ looks really wrong to me whereas ‘privelige’ doesn’t.
