This little tidbit spotted on a travel site:

jedis1

S. (age 5 3/4) is in the midst of a Star Wars phase, so we have had to really get up to speed lately on Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and all things Jedi. I have to admit that, just as when we went through the shark phase and through the dinosaur phase, I have really learned a lot.

I did not, however, realize that one of the tasks of the Jedis was to guard small beaches, allowing the kids to swim without fear. Jetties, on the other hand, are frequently employed in such a manner.

  1. The purpose of the Jedi is to establish balance in the force, to protect life and promote justice. And to serve as very cool models for brown robes whilst swishing about with lightsabers. Thus, clearly, a Jedi should seek to protect children while they swim. And look good doing it.

  2. That is a brilliant misspelling. Or maybe it’s a true report: after all, there are dark forces in the sea.
